Fran Escriba has reflected that Elche may come to regret losing a point against Villarreal in the last minute on Monday night.
Elche were hit by Ikechukwu Uche’s 90th-minute strike to see the Yellow Submarine leave the Martinez Valero in Week 12 with all three points.
“We have been hit hard by this night,” Escriba lamented post-match to reporters.
“It hurts to lose like this because this may prove to be a point that we need later on. From tomorrow [Tuesday] we must start preparing for the Getafe match.
“The game was dying in the second half. I am very disappointed because a draw against Villarreal was good for us, but I remain optimistic.”
