Pepe Mel was left perplexed at how Real Betis did not come away from La Rosaleda having defeated Malaga on Sunday night.
Week 12 saw Los Beticos downed 3-2 by the Costa del Sol outfit, thanks to Samuel Garcia’s last-minute winner.
“That we did not win is crazy,” remarked Coach Mel after the game.
“We have pulled level twice, we wanted to win, the attitude has been good and it is a sad night, but I want to stick with the positives.
“We have to look at the positives, that’s my mission. On Thursday we had to win and failed for the missed penalty.
“Today, in the second half, it is crazy that we have not done enough to win. We have to take the positives because we have a game on Thursday [in Europe] and then we host Barcelona on Sunday.
“To speak of justice in football is silly because what matters is goals and Malaga have scored three.
“It is costing us at the moment to win. Here we came to put things right and we are concerned but for everything that has happened, we know that we have the elements to succeed.”
