Pepe Mel praised Real Betis for their efforts against Levante, but conceded that in drawing 0-0, they have ‘lost two important points’.

“Collectively we have been solid. We have been better when it was 11 against 11 and when it was 10 against 11, but when things do not happen, they do not,” mused Mel, whose side had Javi Chica dismissed on the half-hour mark.
“We have been able to change the dynamic as we continued to work. Playing against this Levante, playing in this way and to have the chances to win, we should have won.
“We have lost two important points. Now I have the peace of mind to sleep well. From Friday we will think of Malaga.
“There have been many people hurt and with issues, but we will face the game with all our strength.”
