Chory Castro has commented that Real Sociedad were ‘calm’ about recent form, as the team believed ‘that they were doing things right’.
La Real have endured a difficult start to the season in La Liga and Europe, but a 3-0 victory over Almeria at the weekend ensured back-to-back League wins.
“We had not been picking up the points, but the team always had a good feeling that they were doing things right,” Chory has considered this week.
“We had played well and we had not won. We were calm, though, because we were not playing badly and knew that victory was close.
“It is true that we did not have a great game against Almeria, but sometimes it does not serve to have a good game if you do not end up winning it.
“In the end, no-one remembers the bad performance, but the three points earned.
“It is now two straight wins, it gives us room and tranquillity with which to face the next games. Now we need to think towards Valladolid.
“They too will be complicated, as it is tough throughout the League. They are a team that has quality, is strong at home.
“We are calm and we will see if we can get a third win in a row, with the tranquillity that being closer to the top of the table brings.
“There is a great demand in upcoming games, many to play yet, but we continue with the ambition of being able to add points in the Champions League and dream about moving forward or going into the Europa League.
“The team has shown that we always play the same way. The Coach is calm because the players are responding.”
