Aguirre calls for ‘consistent’ Espanyol

Espanyol boss Javier Aguirre admitted they played ‘a good opponent’ as Levante triumphed 3-0 on Saturday evening.

A Nabil El Zhar double and one goal from Babcar Diawara gave the Granotes all three points, and the Periquitos Coach conceded that his men contributed to their own downfall.

“We played a good opponent,” he told a Press conference. “We know that the longer we could keep it at 0-0 then we were in with a chance.

“But then came their penalty, and that threw us then for the second goal as well.

“We have to be more consistent. We’ll have to look at the small details and try to learn from what happened here.”
