Lisandro Lopez has outlined that continuing Getafe’s recent form depends solely on the players, ahead of three coming fixtures he has marked as crucial.
Los Azulones are on a run of four consecutive wins in La Liga and find themselves fifth in the table ahead of Week 10’s home match on Monday night with Athletic Bilbao.
For one of the team’s defensive number, that match with the Basques and following fixtures with Villarreal and Valencia look crucial.
“I am excited by the team at this time. Honestly, continuing it depends only on us,” Lopez has commented this week.
“It is very difficult to stay where we are. Now we face three difficult game. Let’s try to win at home and also try and take something back from Villarreal. This team also has to try and score points.
“We have three very important and difficult games. The games at home we must try to win. The Villarreal trip is difficult but again we must try to get some points, so whether we can maintain our form or not depends on these three games. It depends on us.”
