Simeone: A difficult test

Diego Simeone is not expecting an easy time of things for Atletico Madrid away to Austria Vienna this Tuesday.

Matchday three of the Champions League group phase sees Atleti looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to the competition with a trip out to face the Austrian underdogs.

“It will be a difficult test against a team who are well-drilled,” Simeone has mused pre-match.

“They also have some outstanding individual players in Stankovic and Mader. They have a solid defence and will be tough to break down. We can't afford to underestimate them.

“I know [Austria Vienna Coach] Nenad Bjelica very well from his time at Albacete. He is a good Coach and has my respect. I'm sure he'll prepare his team in the correct manner.

“Arda Turan is an important player for us and he's improving with every game. He links the play very well.

“David Villa lives for goals and I'm sure they'll come. It's only a matter of time and he's got my full backing.”
