Malaga have confirmed that central defender Weligton has committed himself to a new contract at the club until June 2015.
The 34-year-old has been with The Anchovies since 2007 and has held a starting berth throughout his career at La Rosaleda when fit.
Today has seen his club confirm that a new contract has been agreed, committing Weligton for at least one more season.
The Brazilian also has as part of the new agreement the option to extend for two further seasons, depending on a number of set objectives being reached.
