Indications are that Atletico Madrid will be able to welcome midfielder Mario Suarez back to the team this weekend against Celta Vigo.
The recently capped Spain international sustained a sprained knee in Atleti’s Week 6 win against Osasuna, which forced him to miss the derby with Real Madrid last weekend, as well as Tuesday’s Champions League match at Porto.
However, training today has seen the 26-year-old continue his recovery by taking a full part in the group session.
Indications are that Suarez will be available for selection for Diego Simeone for Sunday lunchtime’s home meeting with Celta Vigo.
