Rami hints at legal action

Adil Rami has sought legal advice in the fight to clear his name after Valencia insisted he would never play for the club again.

The French defender was suspended by Los Che after hitting out at his teammates and Coach Miroslav Djukic in a radio interview.

Reports suggested that the Mestalla side had suspended the centre-back for gross misconduct following the incident.

And a statement today has indicated that the 27-year-old has gone to a lawyer in Paris for legal representation in the matter.

“Adil Rami, professional footballer for Valencia and the French national team, is sharply opposed to the statements of the leaders of Valencia directed against him.

“And believes that they are harming his dignity and image as a professional. Even when he has always devoted his body and soul to the club.

“Given the situation, Adil Rami has instructed the advice of Mr. Alberto Brusa, admitted to the Paris Bar Association, who will look after his interests and try to find a possible solution with Valencia in order to preserve his career.”
