Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ibai Gomez has stressed the good start to the season his side has made.
Los Leones are currently fifth in the table having won four of their first six games of the campaign.
And the 23-year-old has insisted that despite a lack of playing time, he is happy with the first few games of 2013-14.
“The team has been playing very well,” he told reporters. “We have done some very good things early on.
“Having said that though, we have not allowed ourselves to believe in anything silly.
“These early 12 points have given us a lot of confidence.
“It means you go into every game thinking you can come away with three points.”
Athletic face Granada this Monday.
