Madrid recall Casillas, Coentrao

Iker Casillas and Fabio Coentrao have been named in Real Madrid’s squad to play Elche tomorrow evening.

Casillas missed the weekend call to face Getafe having suffered a bruised rib whilst in action last midweek against Galatasaray in the Champions League.

However, in having returned to full training at the start of this week, the current League back-up to Diego Lopez has been included in the party that will travel out to the Martinez Valero on Wednesday night.

Coentrao, who has been out of action since picking up a thigh injury during the September international break, is also back with the squad.

Meanwhile, Raphael Varane is named in the squad, on from being named as a late substitute at the weekend against Getafe when Gareth Bale pulled out during the warm-up.

The Welshman, as confirmed by his Coach earlier today, is out of contention for Elche, as he prepares for next Saturday’s derby against Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid squad to face Elche: Casillas, Diego López, Jesús, Varane, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Coentrao, Carvajal, Arbeloa, Nacho, Khedira, Casemiro, Modric, Di María, Isco, Illarramendi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Jesé, Morata
