Nacho Martinez has reflected on Rayo Vallecano’s upbeat mood heading back into League action with a trip to Malaga in Week 4.
The Madrid outfit make the journey south this Sunday afternoon in a meeting between two sides currently in the bottom half of the table.
“We are really looking forward to Sunday,” commented Martinez, before assessing the team’s start to the season so far.
“My opinion is that there has been a good balance. Of the three games, two have been quite good against Levante and Elche and only in the Calderon against Atletico were we not at a good level.
“The break has been good and it has been good for the new arrivals to the team, to take shape, as the season is long.
“On the team we are looking forward to Sunday. We have to go for the three points in Malaga and see if we can show our best side and repeat the same thing as we did last year.
“The Coach prepares us to do what we know and continue with our football. From Malaga, some important players may have gone, but they are a good team and will be hard to beat.
“We are anticipating our Coach telling us how we can beat them.”
