Thomas Muller has echoed Sergio Ramos in asserting that he would not have sold Mesut Ozil, if he was in charge at Real Madrid.
Ozil left the Santiago Bernabeu on the final day of the transfer window to join Arsenal in a €45m deal, that has had a number of teammates comment with surprise.
“What we know is that Ozil was happy at Real Madrid, but things change very quickly,” mused international colleague Muller to reporters today from Germany’s training camp.
“Madrid changed completely this summer, with a new Coach, and new stars, but I would not have sold Ozil.
“In any case, I think that he is now looking forward to a new chapter in his career at Arsenal.”
