Barcelona are reportedly ready to offer sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta a new contract through to June 2016.
The retired goalkeeper has been acting in his current position with the Catalans since Sandro Rosell’s election as President in 2010, but speculation has surrounded his future beyond this season.
Out of contract in June 2014, rumours have been that elements of the Barca board were not satisfied with his work.
However, on from more recent reports that a renewal was being planned, Mundo Deportivo assert today that the club do intend to offer him a two-year extension to take him through to the end of Rosell’s current term in office, in June 2016.
