Sevilla have confirmed that they have picked up Real Madrid youngster Denis Cheryshev for the season on a loan deal.
The attacking winger spent preseason with Los Blancos’ first team and was reportedly in line to be used by Carlo Ancelotti as a provisional left-back for the new term.
However, on from the Italian confirming Fabio Coentrao’s decision to stay with the team and increasing speculation that Cheryshev was after regular first team action in an attacking role, Sevilla has swooped.
Los Nervionenses report on their website that the 22-year-old Russian has passed a medical on Monday morning and will be presented at midday UK time.
Cheryshev, who was part of the Real Madrid Castilla side last term, joins for the season on loan, but there is no purchase option included.
