Real Valladolid boss Juan Ignacio Martinez has insisted that his side did well despite losing to Villarreal on Saturday.
Javi Guerra’s early striker wasn’t enough for the Pucela as Giovani Dos Santos and Cani won the match for the Yellow Submarine.
“We are always ambitious,” he told a Press conference. “But the opponents were just a little bit fresher than us.
“I thought we were heroic going right until the end, so it was a huge blow to eventually lose the game.
“We tried to get a draw, but sometimes these things happen.”
