Ernesto Valverde has praised the Athletic Bilbao fans after they defeated Osasuna 2-0 on Friday evening.
An Oscar De Marcos strike and an own goal from Javi Arribas gave Los Leones the three points, but it was the supporters the Coach thanked after 20,000 of them travelled to Anoeta in San Sebastian for their ‘home’ game.
“It was extraordinary,” he told a Press conference. “To be able to give our fans this victory makes us all really happy.
“It was a very hard match, and my team suffered a lot.
“There is a lot that we can improve upon, and we’ll be working hard to do so.”
