Caparros wants transfer window changes

Levante Coach Joaquin Caparros has called for the transfer window to be shut before the start of the season.

The Granotes have had to deal with the departure of Vicente Iborra to Sevilla this summer, and the tactician has insisted that the current rules favour the bigger sides.

“I do not understand why the market is open,” he told a Press conference. “It facilitates the larger clubs.

“The rules are mounted for those who have money. Because of that we’ve had a tough summer.

“We wanted continuity, but now we have to have another preseason.

“But whatever 11 I pick, it will be competitive.

“[This weekend’s opponents] Sevilla have signed who they wanted and have paid release clauses.

“We’re not at that level, but we have to be optimistic.”
