Remi Gomis has admitted his delight at signing for Levante after joining from Valenciennes this week.
The 29-year-old, who has represented Senegal seven times, has insisted that he was enticed to the Granotes because of his love for Spanish football.
“I am far from in my best shape because I have not trained,” he told a Press conference.
“But I will try to be fit as soon as possible.
“I am a defensive midfielder, but sometimes I like to advance forward.
“I chose Levante because it is a family club and because I like Spanish football.”
