Paco Jemez placed ‘great value’ on the manner of Rayo Vallecano’s opening weekend win of the season over Elche.
Two goals from Alberto Bueno and one from Albero Perea gave the Madrid side a comfortable win over Fran Escriba’s newly promoted outfit on Monday night.
“I give great value to how we achieve things, and not so much on what we achieve,” Jemez mused post-match.
“The fact is that we have started well, presented a good image and playing good football and this was the premise that we had despite the new faces that we have seen arrive.
“We have played a very good game and it is difficult to assess the opponent. We knew we could not go wrong, it was clear that we had to keep a clean sheet to begin with.
“It was something that we had to improve on from last year. I do not think we have seen the best of Elche yet.”
