‘Siqueira perfect for Madrid’

Former Granada defender Inigo Lopez believes that Guilherme Siqueira’s cycle with the club is over and that he would be ‘perfect’ for Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are understood to have presented an offer on the table for the 27-year-old full-back, which has reportedly been followed up by the Brazilian’s push to leave the Andalucians.

Former teammate Lopez has asserted that now is the time to allow Siqueira to leave.

“I spoke to him recently. He wants to progress and have a new experience,” the 31-year-old reflected to Marca today.

“If he has that option then it would be nice for him. In Granada he has completed a cycle, he has given everything.

“We are also speaking about a club like Real Madrid…it should not take a lot of consideration in the mind.

“He would do well, fit perfectly. He is a full-back with an attacking side. His best attribute is his speed.

“He is a typical Brazilian full-back, with pace, crossing and goals. He has made a difference for Granada and it is time for a new step in his career.”

Lopez left Granada himself this summer to join PAOK for a first experience abroad.

“I wanted a change. To experience something outside of Spain. I had several offers on the table and, after analysing the cities and conditions, the offer that appealed most to me was this one.”
