Joseba Etxeberria has begun work as a member of Athletic Bilbao’s coaching staff, at the request of Ernesto Valverde.
Reports earlier this month were that the newly returned Coach wanted to bring in his close friend and the club legend as one of his assistants.
The move has now been confirmed, with the 35-year-old set to now combine his role as part of Valverde’s staff with a previously allotted position overseeing management of the Juvenil side.
Etxeberria has begun work this week at Lezema acting as one of Valverde’s assistants.
