Ivan Zamorano does not see Alexis Sanchez at Barcelona as the same player he once was, but he believes the forward as the attitude to still be a success.
Alexis has struggled for continuity in the two years he has spent so far with the Catalans and has been linked with a move away this summer.
“I think Alexis has lost some of his essence at Barca,” Zamorano told Fox Sports Argentina this week.
“Ones sees the player he was in Italy and with the national team, and I do not think that he has 100 per cent adapted his game to Barcelona.
“I heard that they are saying it will be difficult for him to play now.
“But he has shown the ability to be able to reach a big club like Barca and the credit must go to him, as no-one handed him that opportunity.
“He has done well to deserve that move and he has the attitude to earn a place in the team.”
Zamorano was asked of Neymar’s arrival at the Camp Nou this summer and if he can prove successful.
“You never know how those who arrive will do. Florentino [Perez] brought together all those stars and created the ‘Dream Team’, but there were few titles.”
