Xabi Alonso has today returned to training for Real Madrid, just six weeks after undergoing groin surgery.
The Spain international missed the Confederations Cup this summer after going under the knife, but the former Liverpool man was spotted participating in a practice game during Los Blancos’ morning session.
Asier Illarramendi and Raphael Varane meanwhile, both went through their paces individually as they look to recover from injuries.
Friday’s training was the last one on Spanish soil for the foreseeable future, with Carlo Ancelotti’s men set to travel to Sweden for a friendly against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday, before flying out to Los Angeles for an American tour.
