Madrid extend Cheryshev contract

Real Madrid have confirmed today that thye have signed Castilla forward Denis Cheryshev to a new four-year contract.

The Russian Under-21 international caught the eye last season for Los Blancos’ subsidiary outfit in the Segunda Division, netting 11 goals and assisting eight more.

On from involvement this summer with the senior side’s preseason preparations, the club have confirmed that the 22-year-old has signed a new contract to take him through to June 2017.

Despite developing through his career as a forward and a left winger, Coach Carlo Ancelotti has used the youngster in Madrid’s opening two preseason games as a full-back.

Cheryshev, whose original deal with the club was just into its final 12 months, renews just 24 hours on from Castilla teammate Jese Rodriguez.
