Guus Hiddink is being reported as a likely third candidate to replace Tito Vilanova at Barcelona, after resigning his post in Russia.
The 66-year-old Dutchman, who has previously been linked with the Camp Nou hotseat, is being paired with possible interest from the Catalans, having today resigned as Coach of Anzhi Makhachkala.
Barca were seen previous to this development as considering their search for Vilanova’s successor as between former midfielder and B team Coach Luis Enrique and former Newell’s Old Boys Coach Gerardo Martino.
However, Sport are leading the way with speculation that Hiddink has had his head turned by Barcelona, as his resignation comes just a month on from having committed to Anzhi for the 2013-14 campaign.
Barca are on the lookout for a new Coach in the wake of Vilanova stepping down on Friday due to ill health.
