Real Betis are reportedly close to securing a deal for Chilean midfielder Lorenzo Reyes of Huachipato.
Los Beticos are believed to have agreed a three-year deal for the international-capped player who turns 22 next week.
AS say that Reyes is now due to arrive in Seville in the next few hours to undergo a medical and finalise terms of his transfer.
Betis, who would make Reyes their fifth signing ahead of next season, are understood to have agreed a €1m fee with Huachipato, although an agreement on method of payment is still to be determined.
Pepe Mel’s side, who have lost Adrian and Jose Canas in the last week to the Premier League on Bosman moves and may have to sell Benat Etxebarria this summer also, have so far brought in Danish goalkeeper Stephan Andersen from Evian, full-back Juanfran from Real Madrid Castilla, and strikers Manuel Jesus Vázquez ‘Chuli’ from Recreativo Huelva and Cedric Mabwati from Numancia.
