Levante have confirmed that Joaquin Caparros has been appointed Head Coach for next season.
The 57-year-old will replace Juan Ignacio Martinez, who was not handed a new contract at the Ciutat de Valencia, and has joined on a one-year deal.
Andalusia-born Caparros was axed by Real Mallorca halfway through the 2012-13 campaign after a string of disappointing results and will be officially unveiled on Tuesday.
It was thought that Caparros, who also numbers Villarreal, Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao amongst his former clubs, would pen a two-year deal with Los Granotes but he has decided to compromise with a 12-month agreement.
