Levante are poised to announce Joaquin Caparros as their new Coach to replace the departing Juan Ignacio Martinez.
Martinez was confirmed earlier this week as on his way out of Ciutat de Valencia this summer, with Los Granotes taking the decision not to renew his contract.
Caparros was listed as one of the possible replacements and it seems as though Levante have made their move, with it reported that a contract is set to be agreed.
Former Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao Coach Caparros, who last season left struggling Mallorca by mutual consent, is set for a two-year deal with the Valencian outfit, with it thought an option for a third year may also be included.
Caparros’ appointment would mark a change in direction for Levante from recent appointments, with both Martinez and Luis Garcia before him handed the coaching position without previous experience in La Liga.
