Javier Aguirre has acknowledged Celta Vigo’s task on Saturday, but promises that Espanyol will go out to beat them all the same.
Los Pericos travel out to Balaidos assured of a mid-table finish regardless of results elsewhere in Week 38, but with their hosts in need of a win to try and avoid relegation.
“It would be bad to not understand the importance of the match for Celta and their city,” reflected Aguirre to reporters in his pre-game conference.
“We must assume that this is just one more game, no more, even when it is quite the opposite. The game is one of risk, but we will go out as professionals.
“We always try to get the three points and it will be the same on Saturday.”
