‘Bale could adapt perfectly’

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid Coach Juande Ramos believes that Gareth Bale would have no issues moving abroad this summer.

The Welshman is linked with a possible switch out to Madrid this summer and his former Coach at White Hart Lane is enthusiastic at the prospect.

“Bale is a magnificent player. He's only 20 years old and already has his own personality. He would adapt perfectly to another club,” commented Ramos this week.

“When I was there, he had a very serious injury, and was out for eight months.

“I would have loved to be able to count on his services more. His performance this season has come of no surprise to me.

“Back then you could see that he had some very special characteristics and excellent qualities.

“He combines great power with a marvellous left foot.”

Ramos also took time to defend Luka Modric, who made the move from Tottenham to Madrid last summer, but who has struggled this season to recreate his form in England so far.

“He is a footballer with great technical ability.

“I reckon that bearing in mind that this has been his first season, and that he's been surrounded by the best players in the world, he's done pretty well.”
