Oscar de Marcos has reflected that Athletic Bilbao’s players are unconcerned with continued speculation over who will be Coach next year.
Marcelo Bielsa is strongly linked with a departure from San Mames this summer, with Valencia boss Ernesto Valverde and Bilbao Athletic Coach Jose Angel Ziganda both linked as possible replacements.
“It will be resolved when the season ends,” De Marcos reflected to reporters this week.
“We do not have the need for it to be said now.
“When things are finished it will be determined who is the Coach. What we want is the best for the club.”
Athletic end a difficult season with League survival attained and still an outside shot at reaching Europe.
“There are still chances for us and as long as those remain we will fight until the end.
“Suddenly we have the possibility to play in Europe and, although we know that it is very difficult, hopefully we can get to the last game at Vallecas with the possibility still there.”
