Iturra: I want to stay at Malaga

Malaga midfielder Manuel Iturra has revealed that he wants to stay at the club next season.

Due to the Andalusian club's financial situation, it is believed that many of the team's top players will leave for pastures new in the summer.

But the Chile international has claimed he wants to stay at La Rosaleda.

“I'd love to stay here in Malaga,” he told a Press conference. “We’re hoping to qualify for European football again next season.

“We were so close to reaching the Champions League semis this year, and we were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by the mighty FC Barcelona. Not many teams have achieved as much as Malaga this season in recent years.

“Qualifying for the Europa League is crucial to the club from a sporting point of view, and I think we really deserve it after this fantastic season.”
