JIM wants to stay at Levante

Levante boss Juan Ignacio Martinez has insisted that he wants to stay on as Coach of the Granotes next season.

The tactician sees his contract at Ciutat de Valencia run out at the end of the current campaign, but the 48-year-old has claimed he wants to still be at the club next term.

“Obviously, everyone wants to know who is going to lead this team next year,” he told a Press conference.

“I do not have to prove anything, but I have said many times that I want to stay.

“I will not repeat myself though.

“I have not spoken with anyone at the club, but the silence does not mean anything significant.

“I imagine negotiations will start within the next few days.”

He then briefly commented on this weekend's game against RayoVallecano.

“We just want to try and give joy to the fans. If we get three points, then who knows? We'll be a little bit closer to the European places.”
