Barcelona Coach Tito Vilanova confirmed on Sunday evening that he is returning to New York during the week for follow-up tests.
The 44-year-old worked with doctors in America during a two-month spell earlier this year as part of post-operative treatment on a second bout of salivary gland cancer.
During his Press conference after Barca’s 4-2 win over Real Betis on Sunday night, Vilanova confirmed to reporters that he will be back in New York from Monday for a stretch of a few days for some routine follow-up medical checks.
Vilanova will return to Catalonia on Thursday morning, by which point La Blaugrana could be League champions.
