Valencia defender Ricardo Costa has confirmed that he will stay at the club for at least another season after penning a new contract.
The 31-year-old has been rumoured to leave the Mestalla in the summer, but the former Porto man has today revealed that the club and himself have come to an agreement for an extended deal.
“I wish the result last weekend would have been better,” he told a Press conference. “But I am here today to tell the fans that I have renewed my contract for another year, with the option of another year.”
Costa, who turns 32 next month, joined Los Che on a free from German side Wolfsburg in 2010.
