Athletic Bilbao centre-back Aymeric Laporte will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The 18-year-old complained to the club's medical team during last weekend's draw with Deportivo.
But it has only been confirmed today that the defender will have to have surgery to fix meniscus damage in his left knee.
Laporte has enjoyed a breakout campaign, playing in 15 League games for Marcelo Bielsa's men.
