Paco Jemez has made clear that he wants Rayo Vallecano at their very best against Mallorca tonight and that he wants only the three points.
The Madrid minnows are in with an outside shot of European qualification this season, so their Coach is pushing that they win in Friday night’s fixture at Iberostar Stadium against relegation strugglers Mallorca.
“I have high hopes for this game and I want us to play well and to win. I only value a win, I am not after a draw,” Jemez declared to reporters.
“The team will be required to produce their best match of the season so far. We need to win, to play well and to make a great effort. We must show that we are good and I only value a win there.
“It is three very important points and they are almost definitive. We attach great importance to a win there and we have to win, we need to win and I am not interested in any mediocrity.
“If we are at our best then we will have our chances to win. Mallorca are dangerous for the situation that they are in, but I want to focus on my team.”
Last time out Rayo lost at home to Real Sociedad, conceding two very early goals in a 2-0 defeat.
“Sometimes you go off the tracks and for many things can lose a game. We did much well, the team were competitive, but La Real defended very well for their result.
“We lacked precision, but after seeing the game again at home, there were many positive conclusions.”
