Tito Vilanova is reported today as prepared to continue as Coach at Barcelona for next season, following recent health issues.
The Coach recently began reintegrating into working life at the Camp Nou after undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy over the course of two months in New York, as part of treatment for cancer that had returned to one of his salivary glands.
Having returned to Catalonia in late March, the club have made clear that Vilanova’s work pattern is down to how he feels, whilst speculation suggested that his continuation in the role for next term was also still up in the air.
However, Marca are running the line today that the 44-year-old has informed Barca that he feels physically capable to continue as Coach for 2013-14.
It is also suggested that the club may look to hand Vilanova a contract extension. The club are into the final four of the Champions League once more this term, and hold a healthy advantage at the top of La Liga.
