Pepe Mel has conceded that his Real Betis side took advantage of Sevilla having a man sent off in their 3-3 draw on Friday evening.
The Verdiblancos came back from 3-0 down to get a point at home to Unai Emery's men, but the 50-year-old has claimed that Gary Medel's sending off was the turning point.
“We put a lot of effort in the second half to make the score even,” he told a Press conference.
“It was very difficult for us, but the team has filled me with a lot of pride.
“If Sevilla had 11 men I think it would have been even more difficult for us.”
