Giner: President’s position special

Fernando Giner has reflected briefly on taking temporary control of Valencia as interim President, commenting that he is enjoying it.

The former defender has for the time being come into the role in place of Manuel Llorente, who resigned on Friday afternoon.

“Of course it is special. A lot of people deserve to be there, many people want to be there, so I enjoy it, but the important thing is that Valencia win,” commented Giner before Los Che’s eventual 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid.

“Will I run for President? Time will tell. I just want Valencia to keep winning, we have the change of qualifying for the Champions League, the team is relaxed and the fans are behind the team.”
