Ernesto Valverde has looked to make clear that his relationship with the board at Valencia is strong, despite continued delays over a new contract.
The Coach is believed yet to have begun negotiations with Los Che over extending his current deal beyond its June 2013 expiry.
However, in guiding the club up to sixth place in the table and just two points away from fourth, the tactician has looked to steady the ship.
“I am comfortable and I feel absolutely supported,” Valverde told reporters at a sponsorship event today.
“We are guided by our emotions. Those sensations at the moment are good. However, in football everything changes quickly, one week you’re very good and another bad.
“What we want is to keep this line and if we can, improve it.
“We have moved up the table, we want to give a measure of ourselves in our remaining fixtures, because the games are very difficult if we want to reach fourth place.”
