Soldado on course for Atleti

Roberto Soldado is still on course to make Valencia’s next game, despite drawing concern this week in training.

The striker sprained his right ankle last weekend in the win over Real Betis and was adjudged after three days of physiotherapy as able to return to a light workout session on the pitch on Thursday.

Despite having to halt that after just the one workout, complaining of pain in the joint, tests have revealed that it is only swelling causing discomfort.

Soldado is therefore still pencilled in for a return to action by Los Che’s next game, which is a trip to the Vicente Calderon to face Atletico Madrid.
