Athletic Bilbao winger Markel Susaeta has lamented his side's lack of consistency this season.
Los Leones have endured a terrible time this campaign, having been knocked out of the Europa League and the Copa del Rey at the early stages – whilst also currently sitting 14th in La Liga.
And the 25-year-old has claimed that only the bad form of other teams has saved them.
“The only positive for us has been that sides like Granada and Depor have earned less points than us,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“We have not been able to put together a winning streak, and that has killed us this year.
“Hopefully the last few games of this season will be a bit quieter.”
