Juan Ignacio Martinez refused to criticise Levante in having to fight back to earn a draw against Granada on Sunday.
Following on from Thursday’s extra-time Europa League defeat to Rubin Kazan in Russia, Los Granotes played out a 1-1 result with relegation-threatened Granada yesterday.
“We are lacking the win in recent games, but we are strong mentally, we have given extra after falling 1-0 down and we have to focus on the team’s effort,” concluded JIM afterwards.
“A lot has happened in the game. Granada had their chances and eventually pushed us back into our penalty area.
“It was important to pick up a point before the international break.”
In the week that saw Obafemi Martins depart Levante, Italian striker Robert Acquafresca scored his first since his January switch to Cuitat de Valencia.
“The goal should give Acquafresca a lot of confidence.”
