Ernesto Valverde has commented that whilst Real Betis will be a true test for his Valencia team, failure to beat them would not be a step back.
Los Che play host on Saturday evening a League position and a point behind sixth-place Betis.
“To not beat Betis would not be a step back and whilst the remaining games are being spoken about in the cliché of being finals, but they are small finals,” reflected Valverde to reporters today.
“On Saturday we measure ourselves against a direct opponent and for us and for them the three points are very important. There will be few mistakes in the game, we are compelled to go for the win.
“Betis are in good form, not only for now, but for their previous few years, they arrive this weekend in a fairly good moment.
“They are difficult to play against, they have managed quite a few goals against teams in the first few minutes of games and that affects opponents. For us this will be a difficult game.”
