Valencia will reportedly begin negotiations with Coach Ernesto Valverde over a new contract from next week.
The 49-year-old replaced Mauricio Pellegrino in December, provisionally signing a deal until the end of the season.
Having turned around Los Che’s form in the League that has seen them rise from mid-table to Champions League qualification candidates, the club are believed keen to now extend his stay beyond this summer.
AS report that President Manuel Llorente will personally lead the negotiations with Valverde and his agent from next week.
Valverde has otherwise been reported as unwilling to sign a new deal until Llorente and sporting director Braulio Vazquez’ futures at the club are determined beyond this summer.
