Jose Luis Mendilibar thought his Osasuna side deserved more after losing 1-0 to Athletic Bilabo on Saturday.
Markel Susaeta's second half goal was enough to give the Basque side the three points, but the 51-year-old has insisted that his men merited more from the match.
“That's football,” he told reporters. “Sometimes you do not merit the win, and you get it.
“Today we did much more than them, and yet have come away with nothing.
“My team continued to create chances even after going a goal down, so I can't really ask for more.
“I have to congratulate my team for what they've done today. I few continue like this, we'll be okay.”
