Pepe was delighted for Real Madrid’s ‘solid’ performance against Barcelona and has promised that the players will deliver again on Saturday.
Los Merengues defeated Barca 3-1 at the Camp Nou on Tuesday evening for a place in the Copa del Rey Final, and next face the Catalans in the League on Saturday, back in the capital.
“We played a very complete game. We went into the game very well and it suited us fine,” commented Portuguese centre-back Pepe afterwards.
“We’re really happy and now both the fans and the team should enjoy this important day. If we play as a team then it is very difficult for anyone to beat us.
“We started the match well. We had learned our lesson well and were at a disadvantage from the first leg and we knew that we would have to work hard.
“We have to come out the same way to win. The day after tomorrow we’ll recharge our batteries to be in top form on Saturday and give everything we’ve got in front of our fans.”
